    Hi Neo,

About Rev Wright. My mistake. I can't defend a thing that Rev Wright did. I think it was dumb, incentitive and racists. I think Obama needed to take full responsibility for knowing Rev Wright like he did and not challenging his radical views and distancing him from his campaign before it exploded in his face. I think we are still asking the question, "Just who is this Obama?" He strikes me as Liberal daring and radical. I don't think anyone running for President can truly reveal who they are to the American people.

I think John McCain said it right when ask about his religion. I think John McCain is a very admirable person in terms of his ability to tell it like it is. I believe America will tolerate John McCains straight talk but Obama's straight talk? Race will be an overriding silent issue.

I see Obama as a Rebel President. I still think he will do a great job as President.

As for Sarah Palin we are still asking the question "Who is Sarah Palin."

I've come clean to you Neo. Let me know what you are thinking deep inside. I'm not here to judge you.

    Hi Neo,

Thanks for taking the time to analyze and response to my block.  Glad you realize as a writer I write from personal observations and not really the gospel truth. I am impressed that you took the time to comment with an open-mind and I'm taking the time to respond the same.

Morbid: It came after Gustav and it took on a solemn gospel tone as compared to the Democrats which ran like a rock concert. Any idea how many people was there?

I will look at the video later. Thanks for sharing.

About the men and women in uniform, it appeared that most of the audience were men and women in uniform.  And I kept thinking that with a Veteran of McCain's stature running for President I can easily see the dislike for Obama who never served in the military. Again the convention had a heavy handed military and religious tone and there can be two reasons for it Gustav and McCain.

    If the coin was flipped

I was thinking in terms of let's say Michele Obama teen  daughter was pregnant. I can easily hear FOX news saying things like and not in the same words, "Just what we need a bunch of Black folks bringing down the moral standards of the White House - Stinking up the sheets with their low moral values." May be in not so much harsh words but meaning the same.

As for Rev Wright if he was a Republican they may have look into his dedication and life commitment to the community to find something good out of it. I heard Karl Roves call Biden names and he is still on FOX and they are celebrating him.

As far as Sarah Palin better than Obama. I've been hearing about Obama for almost two years now, and this is first time I'm hearing about Sarah Palin and my first impression when I heard speak was a cheap shot of pandering to female voters. Hope she focuses on the difficult road ahead.

I still listen to FOX because I keep an open-mind, but someone the things they say is just as distasteful as MSNBC who I seldom look at.

As for comparisons. It may come down to Obama and Palin because McCain has health issues that may shorten his term.

As for the war comments that followed. I think we need a new direction with the war and we need to become part of the world community and be leaders. We need to get back on the issues of the economy. America is facing an economical crisis.

Let me say I am not strong politically. I'm just an observer and I'm leaning more to the Democrats at this present time.

I sympathize with Mrs Palin. I think in the short time that she has been exposed to the public the news is not very favorable. I think it is unfortunate when the media makes a spectacle of a family issue. I think it is a bad decision to get involve in the role of VP with so many sensitive family issues at hand. It may prove that she is a very strong woman or it may blow up in McCain's face as a quik fix decision to patronize voters. I am hearing other things on the horizon as the media pry into Mrs Palin's affairs. Politics is a dirty game and I'm getting further away from having a part in this. Still the radar is on Obama and it seems to me that he did the right thing by distancing himself from it. I remember when the media was all over Michelle Obama for her being proud of her country for the first time in a long time. Now if you're not an African American that has seen the wrongs of America you may deny that statement, but unfortunately it is true and America is turning over a new page.

Let me apologize to you, I shouldnot have personally attack you. I think we can be civil even in disagreement. I honestly don't see other options. I am not sure where McCain is going. After years of Republicans in power and loss of the surplus, and now health care, jobs, a neverending war, high fuel prices. Why should I not give the Democrats a chance? They've rescued the country during the Clinton years, and I believe they can do it again.

Trust me folks, the Writer is not upset nor scared of anything. The Writer has dedicated his life just as Obama and McCain did in serving the greater good - in loving and caring for everyone equally. I've instil the same values in my children. I'm not afraid of anyones skin-color,or Gender. I've traveled all around the world to recognize that diversity is what keeps the mold of this world together.  I believe that after 8 years of Republican screw ups, we can't afford to risk another 8. I believe John McCain means well, but some of his decisions are more of the same. I believe in making the big 180 degree turn to heal and rehabilitate this great nation. We need to end this war. We need to have better health care to ease the financial burdens on families. An investment in health is an investment in strength. We need to have affordable education so that our children will not be left with high loans by the time they are in their early 20's. Invest in education is an investment in the wealth of the nation.  Those as the things that freed me from poverty growing in up in the Caribbean and we were still a democracy. Obama means well for this country and he has the vision to make the change we desperately need. It doesnot impact me as much wether John McCain or Obama wins the election, but I do care about the less fortunate.

Again I stand by Obama and I'm in my 40's. He may have made some bad decisions but if you truly understand life you will understand that people make mistakes and move on. Each of us should honestly reflect on our own life and then try and see the good in others. I believe the future of America is in its ability to educate, provide health care, and take a new direction of energy.

I believe the present direction of America risk all jobs going overseas, lowering of the value of the American dollar to fund a war that should never been fought. Over 2000 soldiers killed, means over 2000 American families left in moaning, means over 100000 extended family left to mourn, and as for the Iraqis a total nightmare.

I witness my company cutting back on health care.  I witness a freeze in salary increase. In order to compete we risk working for the kind of wages people in Indian and China is working for. And yes I have a degree, and I'm working on my masters.

We need a new direction fast and Obama will provide that change.

And I do think McCain means well, but I don't he is capable and his VP pick seems more like pandering.

Thanks for your wisdom and open-minded thinking.

It makes for an interesting match up. Obama has been in this position before. Who would have thought Hilary Clinton would have taken a beating from Obama. He has a likability factor that works to his advantage. I'm impressed with how he uses Biden as a buffer. Obama is very very smart. This is shaping up as a chess match. We will see how Palin matches up. Her opening I think was questionable. Sounded like pampering. She should have focused on the issues at hand and not that she is a woman.
